Casa di Nonna is set in two acres of well kept walled grounds in the countryside that surrounds Ostuni (The White City) a much favoured holiday destination for Italians. Joann and Terry a semi retired couple from Kent have made this two story villa their home. While Joann and Terry occupy the ground floor the first floor has been converted into a self-contained apartment with panoramic views across the surrounding countryside.
The conversion was originally undertaken so that Joann and Terry's children and grandchildren could have their own space when they came to stay, love your grandchildren as you do, you can not say they are not disruptive at times. And it is nice from time to time to leave the fray in order to recapture the peace, tranquillity and solitude we have found here.
You enter the apartment via your own stairs though a well appointed modern kitchen- dinning room, on into the lounge, to the right are two doors the first is a toilet, and the second is the shower room. Straight in front of you are french windows opening onto a covered terrace beyond. On the left are two more doors the nearest is a large bedroom, the next door is diagonally across the lounge and at the top of a small flight of stairs, this too is a large bedroom, this room has french windows leading to the large L shaped upper terrace.
